It started with a drive.
The clearest version happens in the car.
I'd get in for a two-hour drive and think, this would be the perfect time for a call with a friend.
I finally had the time.
I finally had the energy.
But I hadn't planned ahead, and figuring out who else might be free felt like more effort than the moment allowed.
So most of the time, I just put on a podcast instead.
The drive stayed the same.
The conversation never happened.
Sometimes you don't.
Space lets the people who matter know when you do.
Then I started noticing it everywhere.
It wasn't just the car.
It was while I was prepping dinner.
Folding laundry.
While grocery shopping.
A quiet Sunday afternoon.
Small moments where I'd happily spend half an hour talking to someone I care about.
Most of them passed quietly.
I kept wishing I could say one simple thing.
if you happen to have some too.
Not to one person.
To the handful of people I care about most.
Whoever happened to have a moment could reach out.
Whoever didn't, didn't have to do anything.
The more I talked about it, the more familiar it sounded.
Everyone had their own version.
Different routines.
Different lives.
The same small moment.
It appears unexpectedly.
Then it's gone.
So I built Space.
A simple way to let the people closest to you know you've got some time for connection.
That's all it does.
If someone else has a moment too, they reach out.
No planning.
No back-and-forth.
No pressure.
If they don't, nothing happens.

The app you spend the least time in.
Space is intentionally built to take seconds.
The meaningful part doesn't happen inside the app.
It happens after you close it.
Space has already done its job.
Why I built Space.
One good conversation with someone I care about can stay with me for days.
I wanted more moments like that in my own life.
So I built the app I wished I'd had.
